Red Sox Finish Homestand, 5-3

The Sox played the last game of their homestand last night, defeating the Texas Rangers 6-4, and finishing their 8 game home series with a record of 5-3. Curt Schilling pitched 7 complete innings, allowing 4 runs on 10 hits. DelCarmen and Timlin contributed an inning apiece to complete the game. Both teams battled back and forth, but the Sox offense provided enough run support to defeat the Rangers.

The Sox hit the road for 2 series, the first against the Seattle Mariners, and the second against the Oakland Athletics. Kyle Snyder gets the nod tonight (July 21st) in the first of three against Seattle. David Wells and Keith Foulke will travel with the team and continue their on-the-side pitching programs on their respective roads to recovery.
