Welcome to Lobel Nation - Your Source for the Latest Boston Sports News!

Helloooo Boston! Welcome to Lobel Nation, the Boston Sports Blog, your source for the latest Boston Pro sports teams results, news and updates! Paul Pierce and the Boston Celtics, Teddy Bruschi and the New England Patriots, Big Papi and the Red Sox, THIS is the place where Boston sports fans can voice their opinions, respond to posts, and discuss all the latest developments with their favorite players and teams!

Celtics F/G Paul Pierce recently made the decision to stay in Boston, despite being a free agent. Pierce expressed desires to his coaches and advisors that he wished to stay with the Celtic's organization for the remainder of his career. His level of commitment to the sport and to the history and tradition of Boston basketball is making Pierce more and more of a fan favorite. With this location set (for now anyway) Pierce brings strong leadership to the Celtics' lineup, and with players like Delante West and Wally Szczerbiak also on the squad, the Celts are shaping up nicely for the 2006-2007 NBA Season.

Big Papi and the Red Sox continue to put together a phenomenal season; Manny, Papi, Varitek, and the rest of the Sox offense currently sit in first place in AL East (as of July 19th, 2006) and with the second half of season underway, the team is still going strong. With David Wells, Matt Clement, on the DL, and Wakefield potentially joining them on the list, the Sox seem to have finally found the long awaited answer to their pitching woes, in Rookies Jon Lester, and closer Jonathan Papelbon.
